Best Shoe and Boot Sales: 4th of July 2023

It’s another holiday weekend, so you know what that means: 100wears will be tracking the sales that we think are worth checking out. This article will be continually updated through the 4th of July, so if there is one I missed please post it in the comments below, or shoot me a note over at 100wears@gmail.com

Let’s dive in.

Allen Edmonds 4th of July Sale

Allen Edmonds is having their “Warehouse Sale” on their website. Prices as marked.

This is the third major sale from Allen Edmonds in the last 6 weeks or so, meaning inventory is somewhat limited. However, if you just need a pair to wear to work there are some good options out there. If you happen to be a size 8 EEE, this made-in-America Bond Street is a great option for just $149. Alternatively, if you need more size options, this Fifth Avenue is $261, but has nearly every size and color option.

You can also get 25% off storewide at the shoe bank. Just remember returns from there now cost $25 so buyer beware.

Blundstone 4th of July Sale

While not quite as popular as they were a year or two ago, it’s still pretty hard to find Blundstone boots on sale – though Stag Provisions has them 25% off through the weekend. You can get the Dark Olive, Brown, or Black. Each comes out to $157.

Joseph Cheaney 4th of July Sale

OK, maybe this British brand isn’t celebrating America’s independence, but they are discounting their stuff anyway. Cheaney might not be a brand that a lot of Americans are familiar with, but they are what Allen Edmonds used to be – great, semi-affordable pairs that will last you for decades in an office environment. I’ve been surprisingly pleased with every pair I’ve had.

This Harrington Cap Toe for $305 is very tempting (so tempting I’m likely to pick up a pair for myself. The wonderful Harry II is also $305 – though you can find these for less.

Carmina 4th of July Sale

Much like the post above this, I’m not sure if America’s holiday is the reason for the sale, but Carmina is offering 25% off a number of options.

Choices are fairly limited, mostly to loafers and formal shoes, but there are some good deals to be had. Personally, I’d suggest this pair of oxfords for a workhorse shoe at $394. I also know my site’s statistics, so I know what links get clicked. Knowing that, there is one pair of boots available – a pretty nice pair of Derby Boots for $469.

Grant Stone 4th of July Sale

Grant Stone is offering a $50 Gift Card with any order over $400, use code JULY50 at check out. The good news is that this works on everything, including B Grades and final sale. The bad news is that Grant Stone prices most of their product between $280 and $380 so it’ll be hard to hit exactly $400.

Of course, my first recommendation is my favorite pair of footwear I own: The Grant Stone Tassel Loafer. Recently restocked in Espresso Suede, these are awesome. You can also use it on their limited edition models.

Full options here.

Helm Boots 4th of July Sale

Helm is running a “Summer Sale” on a number of boots and shoes in their line up. Prices are as marked, and be aware that some of these models are final sale. My suggestion is either the Finn Sienna for $200, the Zind Natural for $200 (Final Sale), or the Xander for just $100.

Helm already comes in at less than the competition most time, so on sale they are incredibly affordable for what you get.

Nicks Boots 4th of July Sale

Nick’s is offering 10% off all in-stock boots. This is a double win, since you don’t need to wait half a year!

What is available is going to be very dependent on what size you are, but there are dozes of builder pros available. It looks like they were previously running a sale on boots smaller than 6.0 and larger than 13.0, and at time of writing the two deals appear to have stacked.

My favorite has got to be this Wicket and Craig Falcon (available in both 10.5 D and 11 D). Priced at $651, they are still not cheap, but what a cool leather to have!

Parkhurst 4th of July Sale

In what I believe might be a first, Parkhurst is offering 10% off any boot purchase through 7/14. Use code FIRECRACKER at checkout.

Of course, how could anyone recommend anything but the Allen in Spruce Kudu first, coming in at just over $350. Sizing is a bit limited, but you’ll almost certainly be able to find something that you like.

Rancourt 4th of July Sale

If you’re looking for a pair of handsewns to go with your summer (or maybe a pair of lined slippers), Rancourt has certain models for around 25% off. Sizing options are very limited, and it’s mostly styles that didn’t sell well. Still – waiting until Black Friday means a full year before you can pull them out.

Red Wing 4th of July Sale

Stag Provisions is offering 25% off site wide, and at time of writing they have included their redwings. My personal favorite is going to be the 1907 for 247, though the Irish Setter Japan Exclusive for $270 is pretty cool as well. Of course, you can also find your typical Iron Ranger there as well.

Viberg 4th of July Sale

Blue Owl is offering a discount on some in-stock Vibergs. Sizing is pretty limited, but there are some good prices to be had. My favorite is probably this Green Horsehide Service Boot for $620. This 2040 lasted pair in Zulu Waxy Kudu is also a great deal at $580.
