The long-term footwear review site

Out of the Box
Only Tells One Story.

We wear every shoe 100 times before we render a verdict. Real-world miles. Honest opinions. No unboxing theatrics.

👟

100 Wears. 100 Miles.

Every shoe is worn at least a mile per session, 100 times, in the environment it was built for.

Unsponsored Opinions

We never accept payment for reviews. Some shoes arrive as PR samples, but our verdicts are always our own — positive or negative.

Side-by-side looks at the shoes everyone argues about — with real wear time behind every take.

Who we are

Reviews That Take Time.
Because Good Shoes Do Too.

Most shoe reviews are written within a week of unboxing. We think that’s backwards. A shoe’s real character — how it breaks in, whether it holds up, if the comfort claim is real — only emerges over months of actual wear.

Every shoe reviewed here has been worn at least a mile per session, 100 times, in the conditions it was designed for. We cover dress shoes, boots, and sneakers across every price point, from $60 to $1,600. Some shoes are purchased outright; others are provided as PR samples. Either way, our reviews are never sponsored — we call it as we see it.
