Memorial Day Sales 2021: Where are the Best Deals?

Cash Back Deals
Rakuten offers a substantial amount of cash back on holidays. To get it, you’ll need a Rakuten account. After you sign in, by clicking the link you can get cash back on your order. This includes all taxes and shipping fees and is on top of any other sale. Just make sure to have any ad-blocker off or it might not register. The cash back changes regularly – sometimes multiple times a day.

At time of writing there are a lot of great deals, Nike.com at 6% back, Adidas.com at 3% back, Allen Edmonds at 2% back, New Balance has 12% back, and more. These deals are on top of anything else you can find, so it’s always worth checking.
Adidas
Adidas is running 30% off full price and sale items on their website using the code: SAVE30. There are quite a few exceptions but it works on most pairs, including the new UltraBoost 21. This isn’t the best deal Adidas’ has ever run, but if you’re looking for something now, it’s better than nothing.
Alden
Bakers is running 30% off their in-stock Aldens with code: ALDEN2021. Short of some mistake sales from J Crew or a blow out sale from a stockist that is dropping Alden all together, this is about as good as it gets. The only carry Indy boot variant’s, but that includes the classic chromexcel 403 for only $405! Sizes are going quick though.
Allen Edmonds
Allen Edmonds currently has 30% off most of their models, which stacks on the sale items [automatically applied in cart]. There are some deals to be had. A few that stand out are Park Avenues in a few slightly-less-than-standard colors for $139, Williamsburg Chukka for $139, and the Grayson Tassel Loafer also for $139.
Beckett Simonon is currently running a deal for 2 pairs of shoes for $300 with code: MEMORIAL-VIP. I feel that their last pattern works really well on the Anders Split Toe Derbies, and they are pretty much the only company making an affordable Austerity Wingtip. They also have some sneakers in their line up, like the Garcia in the two-tone design. These are still cheaper than normal by using the code, but only slightly.
Carmina doesn’t run sales all that often, so it’s was surprising to see that they chose memorial day to have one. They are running either 10 or 20% off various models. Many of these are non-standard colors or patterns, but there are a few classics in there like the Genova Penny Loafers in Brown.
Nicks
Nick’s Boots is running a sale on their newly introduced Overlander, selling for $476 instead of the normal $529. There are not many reviews out on this, but if you want to see their marketing material for this boot, they have a youtube video here.
Nike
Nike is added a few additional shoes to their sale section, some of which are harder to find on sale. The biggest one for me is the Air Zoom Tempo NEXT% for $153. While we normally focus on the style side of sneakers here, this is the first time I’ve seen these on sale. If you’re looking for something a bit less runner focused, there are two Air Max 95s on sale: one with sustainable materials for $138, and another in a blue, purple, and white colorway for $144.
Oak Street Bootmakers
OSB is running one of their two big annual sales for memorial day, though this year it doesn’t seem to be quite as good as previous years. The standouts in my eyes are the Camp Boot for $243, even if they were on sale for $200 a few weeks ago.
Truman Boot Co.
While I can’t say I would personally recommend a Truman boot second after what I received as firsts, others have had better experiences and I thought it would be worth including. Truman is currently running a seconds sale. Sizing is hit or miss, but there are a few appealing options in there for the price. They seem to be adding stock as other sell, so if you’re interested it’s worth checking back a few times.
Viberg
Brooklyn Clothing is running 15% off everything, including their Vibergs, with code: thankyou15. It even stacks on existing sale products like my personal favorite Viberg build – the Boondocker in Brown Taurus Roughout. Brooklyn always has a ton of Viberg options, and this matches their Black Friday sale.
White’s Boots
Brooklyn Clothing has their White’s Boots on sale for 15% off, with code: thankyou15. Unfortunately, their MSRP is higher than White’s themselves on these boots, but with the code they do come in slightly less than buying from White’s or Baker’s at full price.
